Founded in 1632, Williamsburg, VA is well-known for being a historic city. Once the capital of Virginia, Williamsburg, VA was the center of Virginia’s political landscape during the American Revolution and was the site of two historic Battles of Williamsburg. The city sits on a ridge on the Virginia Peninsula, between the James and York Rivers. Its top employer is the public research university The College of William and Mary in Virginia, which is the second-oldest institution of higher education in the United States.

Williamsburg, VA land and farms also have access to plenty of modern-day cultural events and activities at the Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Folk Art Museum and the Virginia Musical Museum. The city hosts two major theme parks, Busch Gardens Williamsburg and Water Country USA. If you prefer a slower pace of outdoor activity, Williamsburg Botanical Garden offers beautiful walking paths year-round and boating and fishing opportunities are available at College Landing Park and Powhatan Creek Park.
