Henrico County land and farms offer investors, businesses, homebuyers and sportsmen diverse opportunities to reach their individual goals because of its stable economy, business-friendly local government, good transportation infrastructure and outdoor recreation. Located in the Coastal region, the 245-square-mile land in Henrico County is adjacent to Charles City County, Chesterfield, Goochland, Hanover, New Kent and Powhatan counties and wraps around the City of Richmond. The population is 330,818 and includes many who have made it a bedroom community for Richmond. Transportation for travelers and shipping includes I-64 and I-95 by road, railways and Richmond International Airport. Manufacturing, insurance providers and other service industries provide much of the funding for its economic base. Fishermen enjoy the Chickahominy and James rivers as well as the area parks where they might catch perch, bass, catfish and other species. Hunters can stalk deer, turkeys and other small game on both private and public land. Other attractions include NASCAR races at Richmond Raceway, Richmond National Battlefield Park, Emek Sholom Holocaust Memorial Cemetery and Virginia Randolph Museum. Henrico County Public Schools offers K-12 public education. J Sargeant Reynolds Community College offers higher learning.
