The top employers in the private sector include Variety Wholesalers Inc., Wal-Mart Associates Inc., Pacific Coast Feather Co., Ardagh Glass Inc. and Genco Distribution System. Vance County Schools provides K-12 public education, and Vance-Granville Community College offers higher learning.
