Historical Home of Secret Gardens. Built in 1907 on Courthouse road in the incorporated town of Accomac, the county seat, since 1609., with the oldest house dating 1786. Busy by day with the commerce and regulations of the county, then evening brings dog walking, chatting with neighbors, just as peaceful as can be. Meticulously maintained is this 1674 sq' home and grounds. 1st floor comprises a screen-in porch and front open porch, country-style eat-in kitchen, pantry, dining/sitting room combo, full bath, foyer, and bedroom. 2nd floor has a landing between 3 bedrooms; there is also a full attic on the 3rd floor. So, animal-friendly with a posh cat house and play are. The front elevation is at best 75' from the road, 25 mile speed limit. Astonishing are the back grounds; you'll walk past ample parking spots, garden sheds, then come the secret gardens, all about vegetables and perennials, mature trees, gently sloping lawn to the headwater tributary of Folly Creek, not navigable. A gathering spot with a fire pit, shaded by impressive trees, is ever so private.
