Great opportunity for waterfront on deepwater only minutes from the Chesapeake Bay. The incredible view of Hunting Creek is also in sight of the Bay. Hunting Creek is almost 300 yards wide from the front yard waters edge. Only a short distance to Pocomoke Sound and right in to the Chesapeake! There is an old house on the property being sold "AS-IS" but appears to be structurally sound but can use some TLC. With a well and a septic system already installed you have a head start. If you prefer you can build that custom home you have been dreaming about and add a million dollar view for far less. This property is perfect for that weekend getaway or retirement. Numerous islands and peninsulas are scattered throughout this area with many having sandy beaches. It can be an endless adventure on the water. The fishing opportunities always exist on the Eastern Shore. Have your front yard butt right up to the tidal waters and fish from the shore or build that pier for your boating needs also. Well drained soil on home site overlooking creek. Old barn on property needs some TLC also but has possibilities. 25 acres of mixed timber make it great for recreation and hunting as well. Whitetail deer and turkeys abound in this area. Walk out the back door and go enjoy. Duck hunting opportunities available out in the endless waterways. Secluded and private yet only minutes to the town of Parksley. More shopping and restaurants as close as Onley and Onancock. An hour from Hampton Roads and closer to Maryland. The view, waterfront access, and acreage make this a unique offering, desirable and priced right. Call now to get more information or to set up a time to see. The Eastern Shore of Virginia was known as "Accomac Shire", until it was renamed Northampton County in 1642. The present Accomac County was created from Northampton County in 1663. Members of an English voyage of exploration landed in the area in 1603, four years before the founding of the Jamestown Colony. Captain John Smith visited the region in 1608. The county and the original shire were named for the Accawmack Indians, who resided in the area when the English first explored it in 1603. The Accawmack nation at the time numbered around 2000, and were governed by Debedeavon, a paramount chief called by the English the "Laughing King". He became a staunch ally of the English newcomers, granting them several large areas for their own use. Accomac Shire was established in 1634 as one of the eight original shires of Virginia. The name comes from the native word Accawmack, which meant "on the other side".
