Phillip Scott

Phillip was born and raised in Person County, NC and at an early age his dad introduced him to activities that would fuel his love of the outdoors.  He was very active in sports all throughout his childhood years and into high school playing baseball, basketball, and soccer. Although Phillip enjoyed these sports, being outside is what brought him the most joy.  As a teen, his family moved to his grandparent’s farm, and there he learned to hunt deer & turkey.  This experience lit a fire and passion inside of him to learn more about wildlife and becoming a sportsman.

After graduating from Person High School, Phillip attended Piedmont Community College and earned an Electrical Power Production Technology Degree. He was hired at Duke University and worked there for almost 18 years as a lead maintenance mechanic on the facility's boilers, hot water & chilled water systems.  Looking for a potential career change, Phillip became a licensed Home Inspector, and for the past few years he’s enjoyed helping clients evaluate their future home.  Assisting other real estate brokers and their clients led him to look towards a career in rural real estate sales.

Phillp has a strong love for God, family, and country. He and his wife have three children and live on their own farm in southeastern Person County, NC.  Land ownership has been an absolute “dream come true” for their family, and Phillip has become an accomplished habitat manager.  All his efforts have resulted in an abundance of flourishing wildlife on his property, and unique outdoor experiences for his family.
